Blair resides in Christchurch NZ, and has been a member of the band since 2009 when the band travelled to Libya.

​Blair started learning the tenor drum at the age of 11 in the Scottish Society Pipe Band. His first national championships competing was 1988 and has competed every year since. He also learnt the pipes as a teenager and enjoyed piping for a number of years.

Blair now enjoys playing the bass drum for the Canterbury Caledonian (grade 4 competition band).
